and I will have to keep up with this one not only for myself and my art but also for a class in school, the teacher has required it.

leaving
just changing accounts. This one is old and would need too much revamping. Just making a new one is much easier. New one is here: http://toodeeart.blogspot.com/2010/01/first-post.html

Piano Man
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright
Tuesday morning my grandfather passed away. He was a brilliant pianist and a brilliant mind. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
He'd been struggling for the past year with dwindling health and Tuesday morning his living will was put into action. I'll never forget all the lectures on life I got from this man and for as much as I resented it at the time, they were life lessons I'll never forget and there isn't anything I wouldn't give to be lectured one last time.
If I get back to normal anytime soon, expect some art in his memory.

Huzzah!
Many things are a-happen'en people.
First off, got the RA job. I really didn't except that. I didn't get the job initially when I applied for it and I had forget to put in the sheet of paper to put me on the waiting list for it (should one of the RA's quit mid-quarter). Well, apparently I made a good enough impression that even without turning in the wait-list paper, I STILL got called to get the job. And now I have it. I'll have a room to myself in the main building. A paying job, I'M SO FREAKIN EXCITED.
Did another marker demo for the layout classes. I have the same teacher this quarter (for Art for Reproduction) that I had my first quarter (for Layout) and she wanted to know if I could do the demo again. So I did, and apparently it really helped the class I did it for (so says the teacher).
Also, had Typography class and had to make business cards for myself. So I did. and here is the final one that I chose and printed up.
I made the little logo myself which if you can't tell, is an L and an M (my initials). But it's made to look like a paintbrush painting an M.
I like it.
I got an A I think.
I SHOULD get an A.

Wisdom Teeth
Just got 'em removed today. That was fun. Here's how the day went.
~Woke up with Jeni, got up and left her house around 9. She was my person to drive me all over the place since if I had the surgery I'd be all woozy.
~Got to the place around 9:29. Did some paperwork, informed people who wanted to know that I was in the office, waiting my turn.
~Waited until around 10:15 when they took my in a did a panoramic x-ray of my mouth.
~Saw Dr. Mcnamara. Funny old guy. Said a family of cambodians was going to move into my cavity that was in my top left wisdom tooth (the reason I was there in the first place was to at least get that one removed.)
~Found out 2 things. One, my bottom molars were growing in horizontally and pushing my teeth out of alignment. Two, my TMJ isn't actually TMJ. It had a fancy name that basically mean "live with it, it can't be fixed." Rather than the left side of my jaw having a ball and socket, it has a socket and spike. It's wierd, but basically means the surgery to fix TMJ (shaving down the ball of the joint) is impossible, since shaving down would be making it smaller.
~Call mom who tells nurse to just take them all out to stop any future hassle from them.
~Go into finance and pay for it.
~Taken away into surgery, give Jeni phone to keep in contact with Mami, Daddy and Joe.
~given an IV. first thing he puts in is supossed to make everything fuzzy. Well, without my glasses everything is fuzzy anyway so that didn't make a difference. Second thing he puts in is gonna make the room spin. Spin? IT WAS DANCING.
~PASS THE F*CK OUT
~Wake up because one of the nurses said teenage mutant ninja turtles. It wasn't a hallucination, I was wearing my TMNT shirt, so she must have been commenting on it.
~Go to a small room where a video plays to tell me what to do. Didn't pay attention to it. Jeni tried to quiz me on it right afterwards and I remembered to not have anything hot, no soda and to relax all day.
~Leave....somehow managed to get into the car.
~Relax at Jeni's all day, randomly passing out in half hour intervals.
~Leave for moms, drive home. Write Blog.
I'm spitting up blood like Ozzy Ozbourne with a freakin bat head in his mouth. Also swallowing it which apparently will give me nausea. Nothing yet but it's only 12 hours after the surgery. I know I'll be fine. Right now Ibuprofen is my best friend. Soon, Hydrocodone will replace Mr. Profen.
Also, here's some art. Remember how I said my school makes you take color application before fundamentals of painting, but you have to paint in color application? Wierd, I know. But here is the first painting I did in that class. This one is the best of them all honestly. My art kinda went downhill from there. Greyscale I can do. Working with color's is what threw me off.

Summer Vacation
3 weeks of break before summer session starts in school. Man, I think that's weird. It's cause the school runs in quarters rather than semesters. Oh well, hopefully I'll find a job during the break. My schedule for next quarter has classes only on Tuesday and Wednesday, which means I have a very flexible schedule for any job I apply to.
Other than no job and worried about final grades, I'm good. Get to do laundry for free at a friends house now, so no more creepy laundromat and using 3-5 bucks to get my laundry done. That 3-5 bucks is 2 weeks worth of ramen money. I'm staying in the dorms for the summer, but I plan on going to Orlando for at least a week to see everyone again. That also means a stop in Melbourne for all you people out there! :)
Hope all is well over there. Eventually I'll upload art and stuff here...eventually.

Cement cutter
You know what's NOT fabulous?
Wake up to a cement cutter doing it's job RIGHT outside your window.
You know what's worse?
Not being notified by housing that renovations are starting on your side of the dorms today.
So yeah, that was my LOVELY wake up call this morning...granted it was 10 am, but I was still asleep so...so there. Anyway, life's been good lately. Bogged down with school work, trying to save as much money as possible, when I get it. Putting in the application for RA today, excited and hoping I get the job. No one else I go to is hiring, so it looks like this might be my only shot. If not, I might just have to go back to the bowling alley, if they will take me back that is.
Color application class is starting to piss me off, if only for the fact that we have to paint portraits, without being taught how. Yes, she taught us how to mix our paints and get tints, tones and shades (we are only allowed to actually use Red Blue Yellow Black and White paint, we get all our colors from mixing those) but now I just finished 2 portraits and I haven't the slightest CLUE what I was doing the whole time. I was just slapping paint on the board and hoping it came out decent.
Computer science...AHHHHHH computer science. Passed my word test (who didn't see that coming eh?) And still learning Excel right now, then we have a powerpoint class. Thank god I won't be here for that cause *trumpets sounding* I'll be in New York seeing WICKED! *dances around* So excited for that! Practically counting down the days.
I still love my mythology class and I still like my concept development class, of which I'm starting my homework for after this post. Probably working on it all day, taking a break for lunch and to drop off my application.
Anyway! That's it, nothing new here just working on school and finding a job. Love you all!

lazy
Yeah, Yeah, I know this is way over due, and it's not due to lazyness as the title might make you think so. This post has been a work in progress sitting on my desktop for a while now. School and finding a job and new friends have been taking over my life.
Anyway, school...YAY SCHOOL OMGOMGOMGOMG!!! I love school. I love my classes. I don't care that I have to be up at 7:30 for my Topics for Comp. class. It's basically Greek Mythology all over again (which I took a class in back in Valencia Comm College). Well, how about we start off with a list, yes?
Color Application: 1-5 pm on Wednesdays.
Basic color theory stuff like that. Using a color wheel for different combinations of paints, how to mix paints for certain hue's and tints, etc.
Computer Science: 6-10 Wednesdays
Though this may change as I might have to take the MAC version of this class because I'm an illustration student. Currently I'm enrolled in the PC version of this class, with that said. I'M GOING TO DIE IN THIS CLASS. I'm serious. I want to test out of this class. "This is the start button. This gives you your main menu. This is Microsoft word. If you hit the letter A, an A will appear on the screen."
...
I'VE BEEN USING THESE PROGRAMS SINCE I WAS 8, I DON'T NEED THIS!!!!
that being said, I'm surprised how many people in my class don't know how to use these things. We are gonna be taught Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I already know Word and PowerPoint (I know more about them than what she plans on teaching us in class.) Excel, I know the basics of making a spreadsheet which is also apparently all she is gong to teach us in it (so says the class syllabus). BUT, even though I know everything, It will be an easy A. I just have to take the tests. Though testing out of it seems like a good idea to me. I'll have to look into that more later(the school is closed for easter weekend).
Topics for Composition: 9-12 Thursdays
Okay, this class is in the same room as my Sociology class, so it already had good vibes when i walked in. Then the teacher walked in. Little short indian woman named Mrs. Choksi. What is it with this room having awesome classes taught by short immigrated women? First Sociology with Ruedger (Came from Germany) and now Mrs. Choksi! Not to mention this isn't a normal English class. Rather than just writing and writing and writing like the other topics for comp classes do, we will be studying Greek mythology (which if you know me, you know I LOVE ancient civilizations, Greek and Egyptian being my favorites) and writing about our favorite myth (YAY Persephone and Hades!). So we will be studying the human emotion through the myths, writing about the myths, talking about the myths, see where I'm going now? MYTHBUSTERS TIME. Only not really. I wish it were.
Concept Development: 1-5 Thursdays
Haha, this class makes me laugh.

First day of class
"You all will be drawing everyday for my class."
Pfft, i do that everyday! We have to have a small object with us and do a drawing of it everyday, different angles, asking "what if..." and drawing that (Ex: What if it were burnt? What if it were made of water? What if it were president? Just think of silly things) I think I will be using the little wolverine bobble head PJ gave me for my birthday a while back. It's simple in shapes and colors and easy to draw and distort. Again, an easy A class.
Other than that, FRIENDS.
Oh
my
Lord...
I didn't think there were other loud, obnoxious, cursing-like-a-sailor internet junkies out there. Apparently they all go to THIS SCHOOL. They are awesome, simply no words. There are few people I have clicked with right away in orlando, the people who I felt like I had known them my whole life after five minutes. Jeni and Joe being the only people from orlando I can think of who fit that bill. Here, there's Randy, Sarina, Ray, Jorge (pronounced Georgie), The Beetle, Lily, Amanda, Lisa and Leah. I could go on. These people, while not all close friends (not yet at least) I was joking around with within 10 minutes of knowing them, being myself and not being given weird looks for it. That is an amazing feeling, to just click with someone, instantly. I've never had it happen on such a large scale before. Again, very cool. I'm also part of the Anime club (who didn't see THAT coming?) and the GSA (Gay Straight Alliance). Lots of fun school stuff to do with those clubs. I want to be an RA. SO BAD. 300+ every two weeks (more than what I was making at the bowling alley), no rent (free dorms), fun activities (get to plan them, I love doing that) among other things. It seems fun and hey, it's a job!
Speaking of which, NO ONE is hiring down here! I've been job hunting online, canvassing to different stores, no one. I'm so tempted to just go back to the bowling alley because IT'S A JOB. I need income like nobody's business. I know I'll find one, I just hate this helpless feeling.
Anyway, all in all, I love school, love my friends, need a job and miss all my Orlando/Melbourne people. I'll be back up your guys way eventually. Love you all! ^^

Wow
Didn't forget about this place, just didn't have anything to right. Well now I at least have SOMETHING to write about.
Tonsil surgery went well, not a lot of throat pain, more so the ear pain is what did me in. Yay for hydrocodone, even though it burned all the way down like whiskey. Heading back to school on Friday and I couldn't be happier to head back. I'll be living in the dorms for the next year (YAY) and I should be getting a response from the head of dorm life or whatever telling me what to do on move in day. My friend Leah from down there will be helping me move in. I'm gonna miss my friends from up here but I miss my friends from S. Florida too, so it will be nice to see them again.
Also, my uncle Mike got me hooked on this podcast novel called "House of Grey" which doesn't go into print till later this year I believe. Either that or it's already out and I'm just silly. As a way of focusing myself (because when i like a book that I'm reading my imagination gets a little ahead of me) I draw random stuff from the novel, scenes characters and the like. I'm on the forum boards for the book as well and posted one of the doodles I did (upon their request) and they liked it so much, I think I'll post them there too, for the readers and author to see. Maybe I'll do one picture for every chapter, not a full out picture, just a little doodle or mini comic. I dunno, working on one right now that's actually going to take some time, so they will have to wait for this one, MWAHAHAA!
That's it for now, not much else to say today.

NEW new schedule
Um....there isn't one?
Mono has taken me by storm and said "NO" to school. It also has said no to my tonsils. If this is what happens to EVERYONE who gets mono then I feel sorry for them, though it might just be because I have overly sensitive tonsils anyway, so the mono just made it 10 times worse.
For now I'm focusing on health and healing. I have a job lined up for when I'm better. I won't be in school for this quarter which I'm okay with. I know I'll be back in school before I know it.
The couch is calling me to go back to sleep, night night.

New schedule
Figured I might as well post what my new schedule is for school, seeing as I did it the first time.
Monday 6pm-10pm Concept Development
I'm hoping this class will help me with throughly developing ideas, which in turn means I won't give up on an idea just cause I can't flesh it out more.
Tuesday 1-5 Typography
Not especially looking forward to this because it isn't calligraphy, it's all computer generated wording, which bothers me, but oh well. I need it, so I'll do it with a smile.
Wednesday 1-5 Color Application
AKA Painting techniques apparently. Though I got Rocco which a professor I've heard everyone likes, so I'm looking forward to that.
Friday 8am-12pm Computer Science
No Idea what this is...We'll find out...

MULTIPLES
some people can't, apparently I can. Post twice in one day that is.
anyway, here is what I did in my illustrator class, in order of how we did them.
This was a project using word prompts to illustrate the word. She preferred if we didn't use the actual word in the design, so I strayed from doing so. The prompts in order from left to right:
Scale, Negative and positive space, pattern
Balance, Tension, Playful

Bamboo:
We had to follow a tutorial for this one, just had to make bamboo. Sounds simple enough but it was actually really....involved. And the only reason it looks so rasterized (choppy around the edges) is because this was saved bigger but made smaller to fit here.

Website design(Mid Term):
We had to do a front page for a website about ourselves. I kinda just threw this together because the teacher wasn't specific enough. The image is a picture of myself that I traced in Illustrator. Full vector image. Everything on the page I did on the computer. Click the link for this one, it's too big for the page.

Fruit Bowl Extra Credit:
This was where we learned how to use the Make 3D tool in Illustrator. Probably took me 30-45 minutes to finish XD

Resturant Logo(Final):
We had to come up with a restaurant name, logo design and concept. I made up a sushi restaurant which was retro-modern, a place where locals and tourists alike would go. The Koi fish S was drawn on the computer with a tablet using the brush tool, then filled with gradients for the color version and solid black for the B&W version. Click the link for this one too.

We had to follow a tutorial for this one, just had to make bamboo. Sounds simple enough but it was actually really....involved. And the only reason it looks so rasterized (choppy around the edges) is because this was saved bigger but made smaller to fit here.
Website design(Mid Term):

Resturant Logo(Final):
Click the link for this one too.

first night closing at work
long story short
Leann+grill that has seltzer water on it=hot water burns on right hand (drawing hand for those of you that don't know).
Grill cleaning is the first thing you do in closing shift, I still had to finish everything else. An hour worth of cleaning. Best part? I close again on Thursday. I think I'll sell tickets.
LEANN vs. GRILL AT BOWLING ALLEY with his partner SELTZER WATER. THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY! BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW.
In all seriousness, it really does hurt (thank god it isn't blistering) but thankfully, because of my first aid training from lifeguarding, I knew exactly what I needed to do. Also, typing all this out with my left hand is hard. I have to keep my right hand in cool water to keep the burning sensation away. Doing nearly 100 panel tomorrow for lauout class is going to be fun....holding a pencil is going to be fun... :D I took a couph pill that SHOULD put me to sleep so I can ignore this pain, at least till tomorrow, which by then it will have subsided I believe.
I'm going to spread rumors about the Grill at school so no one will play with him anymore.

Just wondering...
Why is it that everytime I hear a republican say "Obama is pro killing babies" I want to shoot them?
I don't mind them making the accusation, I know about the bill or law he voted on around 4 times to leaglize something about killing babies already out of the womb but if the only reason you are against him is for this..."Infantcide" I think is the word, then look at the other issues. Yes, Obama is pro-choice, which for many people comes down to OMG, HE KILLS BABIES, STOP THE EVIL MAN! But when it comes to other things such as healthcare, our dwindling economy and small business help, etc. What do you think? If you honestly belive McCains plans for all those are better, then vote for him. I'm not trying to sway you to vote McCain or vote Obama, anything I say here won't change your mind (and if it does, you are weak willed mentally...bring me cookies.) I'm just saying look at ALL the facts, not just abortion.
Palin has been senslessly killing wolves in Alaska as part of a "population control" which is complete and utter bullshit. End of Story. The wolf population is up, which means that their prey population will go down. Thus, the wolf population will go down and the prey population would go up. Then the cycle continues, it's the natural order of nature. Going through and shooting 14 baby orphaned baby wolves in the head point blank, after killing their mothers or packs, is wrong. I for one, am the kind of person who values human and animal life at the same level. Not everyone feels this way, and I know this. But to say that killing baby animals is right, is incredibly wrong.
Also, Palin had it passed as a law in Alaska that women (or men) who are raped have to pay for their testing, medicine, and psychological evaluations. Those all cost a lot of money, ALOT OF MONEY. In most states, it's paid for by the sate or local legislature. Otherwise, many victimes of rape can't afford for testing, even something as simple as a pregnancy test, or a morning after pill or care, should the woman be impregnanted by the rape. When this was later brought up a little before or after Palin was named as running mate for McCain (I can't remember which) she basically went "woops! Did I do that? *ctl-alt-del* " Cause I betcha anything, Joe six-pack wasn't happy to find this out shortly after his mom, sister, wife or daughter was raped and couldn't afford the proper care. Maybe they could go to Russia for help, it is right next to Alaska after all. Not to mention that that kind of law would just force desperate women into more back-alley type abortions, rather than being able to afford going to a proper clinic, getting psychological help and medicine. I'm pro-choice, call it what you will, but I am.
Killing babies is wrong.
Killing animals for false reasons is wrong.
OUR economy is bringing down the GLOBAL economy. Do people even understand that? The US is affecting the rest of the WORLD because out economy has been steadily declining over the past four years. Recently, it got worse, quickly and we are experiencing a recession. I think Obama can change that, I truely do.
And to all the republicans, voting McCain simply because of the abortion issue: May the Fetus you save be Gay.
Sorry for the scatter-brained train of thought, but I had to get that off my chest...even though it might not make sense...to anyone...I don't talk politics much because my train of thought is too crazy...that and I hate talking politics.

First Week is over
Film Appreciation: Monday 9-12
Class started out with only about 5 people including myself, and grew to about 12-15 by the end of class. It's small but I like it, infact I LOVE IT. This class is sooooo much fun already. We have to watch movie clips in class, discussing key points in camera angles, how the scene was shot, dialouge, etc. We watched the opening scene from Swordfish this past class, which is probably one of my favorite scenes from the movie (next to the one of Hugh Jackman shirtless in a towel). There is a film festival down here which is actually about a month long I believe. We are going to that and possibly other feild trips to see movies currently out in theatres. There will of course be tests and stuff, but so what? I literally have to sit down and do nothing but watch movies as homework, which means I'm going to be looking for more foreign films (one of the key discussions coming up is the difference between hollywood and other countries movies). Any Suggestions for movies? I'd love to hear them! Also, it TOTALLY threw me off how many foreign people were in this class. And it wasn't just this class, all my other classes have people from Clumbia, Sweden, Japan, Germany, Peru and so many more. It's so cool to be able to meet all these people and learn about their cultures.
Design Basics 3D: Monday 1-5
My Final is on the beach. I have to make a kite fly. If I fail this class or get anything less than a B I'm gonna cut my own foot off. Of course it seems easy now, but chances are later it wont be, and there is more to building a kite than I know (I researched it now, just to see what I might have to do). The Professor is funny, keeps me laughing through class. I made a few friends in this class alreadym they sit in the same group of drawing tables I sit at. There was this other girl infront of me who had CRAZY awesome hair. It was Half shaved on one side and spiked upward, and it was bright blue, which contrasted with her black hair. I would never do that with my hair (it isn't POSSIBLE) BUT MAN IT LOOKS COOL!

Computer Graphics: Thursday 1-5
Due to copyright laws, they can't call this class "Illustrator 101", because they don't own the title of that program, so it's called computer graphics (though I'm just gonna call it Illustrator, the other crap is too long to type and I'm lazy, as we all know). Anyway, our teacher wasn't in class that day (She's Jewish and it was a holiday for her) so we had a sub. He is a working graphic designer (he showed us some of his stuff. IT WAS AWESOME. That and he was another funny teacher that kept me laughing in class) and told us about how he prefers illustrator now to photshop even though he used to use ONLY photoshop. In the long run, for his feild, illustrator is better because it's vector based, so you can blow up the picture to the size of a building and it wont become pixelated. Then we had class work, learning how to use the anchor points of the system, making curves and circles, yadda yadda. Then we got the homework which was to outline different shapes the teacher made. I finished it all yesterday in class since I don't have illustrator on my computer. It's actually a fun program, once you figure it out. Don't worry Joyce, I'll teach you when I come home for visits.
Intro to Sociology: Friday 8-11
To any of you who went to Bishop Moore High School and had the absolute pleasure of having Mr. Saulpauh (spelling?) as a teacher, turn him into a short woman, and you get my Sociology teacher. She has SO many stories from her life (she's lived in Iceland, Germany, Africa, France, USA, Turkey and a bunch of other places and she marched in the civil rights movement!) She can talk like there is no tomorrow but really, in sociology, that's great, because there is ALOT to cover. We are going to be watching a bunch of documentaires (including "The Devil's Playground", one that I've seen before about Amish people, it's worth checking out in my opinion) and doing a lot of discussions about difficult subjects (Racism, sexism, Feral Children, Patriotism). We got to see this clip of Jimi Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock and in the rifts he was simulating the sirens of ambulances and bombs dropping from plans, his stand against the Vietnam war. It was amazing, look for it on Youtube, just search Jimi Hendrix Woodstock Star Spangled Banner. This class surprised me and I'm REALLY looking forward to it.
Layout: Friday 1-5
My teacher in this class is very soft spoken but the class seems fun. It has to do with how pages are put onto pages, how posters are made, etc. All about how to form a good Layout design. It's also to teach us about rendering and such (our first project is using grey tone markers to render pictures of different people, objects and textures. The funny thing about this class is, there is me and one other illustration student, one advertising student, one for graphic design and the rest are photography, which I think there are about 10-12 photography students there. One of them is actually a working photographer, he's just back to finish his B.A. This is the class that besides Illustrator class, I think I will get the most out of. I'm looking forward to it, but just worried more so about what we will have to create. It's definently going to push my imagination around.
Other News
I dyed my hair red! No, not super red or even Lindsey-Lohan-when-she-wasn't-a-crack-whore-red. It's kind of a drak Auburn color. Aunt Karen did it for me after she finished Emily's hair ( Emily went to a dark brown, it looks so good). I think it looks good. I've wanted to change my hair for a while now, and I'm happy with the results.

Ft. Lauderdale living
The first of many posts, now that I'm down here and I promised to update as much as possible for my stepmom and dad (especially while he is in Japan) and for my friends and family who read this. Firstly, list of classes I'm taking this semester
Computer Graphics: Thursday 1-5
Design Basics 3D: Monday 1-5
Intro to Sociology: Friday 8-11
Layout: Friday 1-5
Film Appreciation: Monday 9-12
All of them are in the main building besides sociology which I can just walk to if I really want to (which I will in the winter, but not in the summer, too dang-gone hot in Florida! I don't wanna walk into class all smelly!) Orientation was Yesterday and it was alot of the same stuff I heard at the open house (infact I think many of the speeches were the same ones given that day XD) But the speech from the lady in charge of Student affairs makes me wanna be more involved, like be a student leader person, help out other students, etc. But that wont be this semester, I don't know if I could handle that, 5 classes and a job (once I find one). I got my Illustration kit and HOLYCRAP it was heavy to carry that sucker around all day. It came with a 250 GB harddrive which made my inner electronic geek giggle. Only problem is that my current laptop doesn't have enough power to power it. Once Joe gets my actual laptop fixed, that one will have the power to make the harddrive work. It also came with many other things (prismacolor markers, paper, straightedges charcoal, etc.) but the Harddrive made me giggle the most.
Living with my Aunt Karen and Uncle Joe is just too much fun (until I told them I'm voting Obama T_T ). Karen is a housewife, so her, my cousin Emily who is also living here and I hang out all day, watch movies talk, it's a McBlasty-blast. We make dinner every night and them being on weight watchers has helped me alot with my weight lose. That and I'm walking Ollie and Annie (the Dogs) with Karen every morning when I wake up (2 miles every morning!). I've gotta get on my wieght training though...and start swimming in their pool. The food has been SO GOOD though. I got to make them my stir fry which they liked, but we also made fruit parfaits, grilled peaches and I learned how to make scones from scratch! It's so easy it makes me wanna bake more, hehe. Aunt Karen is so funny (AND SHE LIKES MUSICALS) I'm always laughing in this house. Today she had her recipe club meeting (which is where she taught us how to make Scones) and I met some of her friends from her church. Tomorrow I'm going to their Singles Movie Night to meet some people in the area, cause Lord knows I need some kind of social life down here :P
That's really all I've done so far in 3 days. School starts on monday and I couldn't be more excited and terrified at the same time. This weekend should be fun too. Gotta get my car tags renewed, doing that tomorrow before the weekend. Who am I kidding, I'm probably just lounging around the house all weekened scared outta my mind from school. XD

long time....again
Man, I really need to keep up with this.
News update: Hurricane Ike is missing Florida THANK GOD.
School is getting closer and closer and I'm growing more nervous by the minute. Mostly financial problems, waiting for my financial helper to email me back with the new plan, but for it to work, my mom would have to take this INSANE parent loan, so I wanna see about me taking more in my subsidized loan (or unsub, I can't remember which) so she (or my dad) don't have to take this ridiculous loan. But ever time I talk to my admissions person, I get more and more excited and stop worrying, which for me is bad. Unless I'm worried about something, it won't get done, which is why I work better when I procrastinate (which is a horrible habit that WILL be broken) or under pressure.
Also, I need to finish a commision from my friend for her husband. Painting of a mermaid, simple, BUT NOT. The pose is making my wrist hurt. Anyway, nothing else going on, today is my last day working security, then im life guarding for the rest of september and orientation for school is beginning of october. fun times.

Haven't done one of these in a bit. Nothing really to update on. This weekend is the open house at AIF, super excited. Getting everything together for them. Drawing more, as usual. Still need to get a new charger for my laptop so it stops being all dead.
My mom's cat Max loves my mice....a little too much. It worries me. Working all wekk, 9 hours a day (yay overtime) and all I do is hand out badges and sit on the internet XD. Oh, and there is a radio, so I can listen to CD's or a radio station. Good times. I have drawings for this place, they just aren't done because I haven't finished them and they aren't on this computer so it's not like I can upload them right now.
Um...yeah, nothing else has really happened.
